I am lucky in the sense that I happen to attact gay people as friends, even though I am pretty straight acting, and one of them happened to be my best friend and now we enjoy a very happy life together.

I agree with James to an extent, but physical tells are also just as important. I hope you work things out. And remeber, that "gay" is only a label - and there is more to a person than that.
