Im tired

I am sick and tired that people are so immature and all they want is to hookup with me. Iahve my standards and nothing is just not seeming to work where I am located for relationship city. I have been told that where I am at, the gay men are so not the dating type (only there for hookups). That just breaks my heart to here that. I have tried everything to find that person for a relationship but have always fallen short. This is my last straw with these online sites. If this never works, then I guess back to the olden days for finding that person through questions. Well and until then, I will just wait for that person to come and take my heart and breath away. Who knows until I find out (hopefully soon).

As far as all those guys hitting on you, you can't help it if you're drop-dead gorgeous. So, consider it a compliment. You know, 'Thanks, but no thanks. Not interested.' (God, I'm sounding like that lady from Alaska!). Keep your standards. We all have those. Nothing wrong with that, but even when you think you've found "Mr. Right" it's still good to ask a few questions before you give your heart to him.

As far as those guys only looking for 'hookups' - yeah, that hasn't changed much in my lifetime. Just to be clear - I'm not hitting on you or ANYbody on this or any other site. As Eleanor (Kate Hepburn) tells Henry in LION IN WINTER, "That road's closed." (good movie, with some wonderful gay moments).

When guys are hooking up, many of them are looking for something more than just a romp in the hay. What's that old thing about "kissing a lot of frogs..."? Also, who knows why we're attracted to the people we are. I'm not sure even a sex expert can tell you that. I do know that one man's meat is another man's poison. You know, different strokes for different folks?

When I was your age, I used to drool over some of my classmates, one in particular with electric blue eyes and a nice smile, but I never let him or anyone know it. But thanks to MTV, Logo and the Internet, that's changing. It's much easier to be who you are these days.

The advice I always give (because it has been so true for me), don't try so hard. It's when you're not expecting it, that he walks into your life. Keep in mind, there are others, I'm sure, even in your own school who are looking for Mr. Right and not just Mr. Right Now. He's out there somewhere looking for you too. When the time and conditions are right, you two will meet. Trust me on this. There's a lot more going on 'out there' than you know. As Hamlet said, 'There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.'

I'm just full of quotes today, but when someone can say it better than me, let'em!
